Chicken Barley Vegetable Chili

The Golden State of California continues to rank number one nationally in agriculture production. Its 75,000 farms produce a veritable bounty of products with Eighty-four percent family-owned. This recipe heralds the variety of CA agriculture products and incorporates healthful whole grain, vegetables and lean protein, featuring barley, dried beans, chicken and turkey, vegetables and herbs (basil, cumin seed, garlic, kale, onions, oregano, peppers and tomatoes). This recipe makes good eating taste delicious.

Living Well Campaign Materials

In September 2003 at Galaxy II in Salt Lake City, four Marketing Awards were given for states that had used the Living Well television PSAs in creative ways. Those awards went to Georgia, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Also at Galaxy, each state received a CD with several new promotional pieces. They include 2 magazine ads, 3 newspaper ads in 3 sizes, bus placards, a digital movie theater ad, and the living well logo in color and black and white. Use these materials - and your creativity - to market Living Well in many different ways in your state.

Once again we are targeting January through March as the time period for television PSAs to be aired. Please ask your television stations to air them during the first three months of 2004. You are also encouraged to work with local radio stations to produce radio PSAs to be aired during that time. (For suggested scripts, click below.)
