Cran-Apple Crisp

Cranberries are one of three commercially grown fruits that are native to North America. The first commercial bog was planted on Cape Cod in 1816. American Indians used cranberries gathered from the wild for food, medicine, and fabric dye. Cranberries are harvested in the fall. This recipe of apples and cranberries make a great combination of sweet and tart flavors, especially on Thanksgiving. They are both a great source of Vitamin C, anti-oxidants, and fiber.
