President's Message
Carol Schlitt (IL), 2006-2007 NEAFCS President
Dear NEAFCS Members:
As I write this month's letter to you, I'm sitting in my hotel room in Nashville, home of this year's JCEP Southern Region Leadership Meeting.
It has been a pleasure to be with our Southern affiliate leaders and I very much appreciate both the warm hospitality and constructive comments they have offered during our time together. I'm looking forward to meeting with our Western, Eastern and Central Region NEAFCS leaders this month and appreciate the opportunity to closely interact with our wonderful members.
As you read in the blast email that went out in late January, the NEAFCS board has decided to terminate our contract with A&T Industries and will be selecting a new promotional company to represent NEAFCS. If you know of good companies that provide high quality printed and embroidered products, I'd appreciate hearing from you as we want to ensure that the company selected will provide us with a variety of products that are useful, priced reasonably and of a quality that accurately represents the high standards of our members.
I hope you and your affiliate are gearing up for our Living Well Week, March 11-17. Now's the time to finalize your plans to ensure that your public is made aware of the valuable services you provide. Whether it's providing Living Well book marks for every library in your community or doing TV or radio public service announcements, every member can do something during Living Well Week to promote Extension and Family and Consumer Sciences.
Until next month,
Carol Schlitt
