Cass Railroad & Green Bank Observatory Itinerary
8:30 am      Depart for Cass Railroad

11:00 am    Board Train for a scenic ride to Whittaker Station.  Whittaker Station is located four miles up the track from Cass. At Whittaker Station you have the opportunity to leave the train and enjoy a breathtaking view of a vast wilderness area. Enjoy a box lunch, and take a tour of the authentic logging camp recreated by the volunteers of the Mountain State Railroad & Logging Historical Association.

12:30 pm      Train returns to Station.  Time to visit Cass Show Case and Cass Historical Museum

1:30 pm      Depart for The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) in Green Bank, West Virginia.  A national facility devoted to radio astronomy, and home to the
World’s largest fully steerable radio telescope - the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope.

2:00 pm    Guided tour of National Radio Astronomy Observatory

3:30 pm    Depart for White Sulphur Springs, WV
