Shannon Chipman & Gail Peitzmeier with Indiana Purdue University Extension Life is busy - whether its managing the home front with raising kids, caring for parents or calving season and then the addition of programs and meetings, find work life balance can be hard. Actually - forget that. There is no such thing as work life balance because managing life and work comes down to our priorities and boundaries.
We have all heard of work life balance and we all try to achieve it when in reality there isn't such a thing. Life happens and how we choose to prioritize the expected and unexpected can have a huge impact on our mental health, our relationships at home and at work, as well as take its toll on our physical well being. Through our workshop, entitled Balance vs. Priorities, participants will note where they are at in their career and personal life as well as receive information on accessing employee assistance plans and programs.
