Who Should JoinActive/Affiliate Membership - If you are an Extension employee working in any capacity with family and consumer sciences programming with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, you can be an Active/Affiliate Member of NEAFCS. $100 per year Life Membership - If you have been an active or affiliate member of NEAFCS for at least five (5) years and have retired, resigned, or otherwise become ineligible for active or affiliate membership, you can you can become a Life Member of NEAFCS. Should you ever re-enter the Extension service, you will be required to resume active membership status and pay annual dues. $300 one-time payment Partner Membership - If you are employed by a State Land Grant Institution with a Bachelor’s degree or working in a corporate/business field related to the work of Extension educators, you can become a Partner Member of NEAFCS. Partner Member Benefits $100 per year Member in Transition: Individuals who have been employed in any capacity with family and consumer sciences programming, who have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, and who have been a member of NEAFCS, but has currently been furloughed, placed on temporary work assignment, working in a part-time role, or is on a leave of absence may maintain membership in the state Affiliate and NEAFCS. A member could stay in this membership category for a maximum of five (5) years and then pay dues to become a Life Member. $50 per year Membership BenefitsAs a member of NEAFCS, you will enhance your career and have a positive impact on your profession. How to JoinDues to join NEAFCS are listed above based on membership selection, plus any state dues. To determine the amount of your state dues, contact your state affiliate president or membership chair. For a list of state affiliate officers click here. Once you have determined the amount of your state dues, complete a membership application form and submit it with payment to your state affiliate president or membership chair for processing. If there is not a state affiliate in your area, or you do not qualify to join your state affiliate, but do qualify for national membership, you may join national as an Affiliate member by completing the application and submitting it directly to the national office with your dues payment of $100. Partner members should fill out the application form and mail it, along with their dues payment, directly to the National Office. |
