2022 NEAFCS Presenter Information & Guidelines

Reminders:

  • ALL Presenters are required to register for Annual Session.
  • All meetings and events, excluding offsite events, will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Concurrent Session Setup and Audio Visual Support
Presenters will be provided with the following audio visual support:

  • Projector and screen
  • One podium with microphone
  • Table for materials

Speakers are required to supply their own computer. If a speaker requests a laptop, a MAC will be provided. Please prepare your presentation in the correct format and save to a USB drive for the day of.  If you plan to supply your own computer and it is a MAC, please notify Elizabeth Lane at [email protected] so that we can ensure proper cable connections are available.  

General Wi-Fi internet is available for all meeting attendees.  The Wi-Fi has limited bandwidth, so if you are needing to connect to the internet for videos, etc., we highly recommend you embed in PowerPoints.

Showcase of Excellence Requirements

Boards: 4' (h) x 8' (w) cork boards - please bring pins and/or thumbtacks
Table: You'll also have a 3' table in front of the standing poster board for handouts and other materials

Use thin/lightweight poster paper or cardboard since heavy materials may be difficult to attach to the display board. Audio/Visual support, internet access and electrical outlets are not provided or available. 

Presenters are responsible for the setup and breakdown of their poster displays.  Poster's will be displayed INSIDE of the Exhibit Hall, so we recommend you do not leave your poster case or any other valuables overnight. 

Posters are open for viewing on Wednesday, September 14 and Thursday, September 15, with presenters having an optional scheduled 1-hour manned time on Wednesday, September 14th from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.  Posters do not need to be staffed during the conference, but must have contact information for at least one presenter in case an individual has questions.

Ignite Presentations:

If you were selected to present an Ignite Session, you are also required to present your POSTER session. See details above under Showcase of Excellence Presenter section.

Ignite sessions are not a time for question and answers.  Please pre-set your ignite presentation for a 10-minute time limit (it should move advance automatically to ensure the timing requirement is met and not exceeded). There will be approx. a 3-minute transition between each presenter.  NEAFCS will provide a projector, screen, podium and microphone in each room.  Laptops will be available for speakers who requested them (see specs listed above in the Concurrent Session requirements).
